The Global Forecasting Analyst/consultant will play a key support role in developing and communicating global forecasts for key Oncology pipeline products.

The Forecasting Analyst will support his/her manager by hands-on project work using current Excel based forecast models or by developing new forecast models as necessary.

Individual may need to liaise with key stakeholders in marketing, finance, market access to ensure the latest thinking is incorporated into each product’s forecasting assumptions and signed off by respective owners.

Forecasting Analyst/Consultant will possess a strong combination of technical, problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.


· Forecasting model development and maintenance/modifications of current forecasting models/tools. Individual will help assess existing forecasting models and prioritize areas for improvement.

o Analyst/Consultant will design and build improved tools to meet customized needs of the client

o Standardization and customization of Models/Tools if & when requested

o Analyst/Consultant will refresh models with latest epidemiology data and other forecasting assumptions.

o Individual will also work closely with the director of forecasting and other stakeholders to incorporate latest thinking in forecast assumptions such as launch timing, pricing & market share. These assumptions will be used to create a baseline forecast that will be used in various commercial and financial planning exercises (LRFP).

· May be asked to work on sensitivity analysis using Monte Carlo simulation and necessary tools such as Crystal Ball

· Analyst/Consultant will help create simple, standardized output tools for fast, clear communication to key stakeholders using PowerPoint decks. If necessary will present to the client leadership team.

· Occasionally will work on ad-hoc analytics projects that may need the use of Excel/PPT tools.


Educations: BS/BA required. MBA preferred.

Experience: 5+ years of total business experience (preferably in the Pharmaceutical and/or Biotech industry) and 2 -3 years in business analysis and forecasting (Should include some forecasting for pipeline products).

· Advanced technical skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

· Familiarity with forecasting software such as Crystal Ball, @Risk, etc

· Experience with patient based forecasting methods & models

· Strong attention to detail, and the ability to “reasonableness check” of numbers prior to review w/stakeholders

· Ability to identify appropriate visualization to support analysis

· Ability to articulate and clarify forecasting assumptions

· Ability to develop forecasts at the high level or detailed level depending on the business needs.

· Self-confidence, initiative and ability to work independently to meet client deadlines

· Must possess very good communications and inter personal skills.

This will be a full time on-site role. Expected to be on-site all the time in the beginning. Some flexibility for remote work depending upon the situation.

No over-night travel anticipated.
