As the Sr. Manager, Field Operations working on the Commercial Operations & Analytics team, you will be empowered to ensure operational activities supporting customer engagement tools and processes are accomplished accurately and in accordance with the timing needs of the medical and commercial field forces. In this role, you will be responsible for the administration of the incentive compensation program, maintenance of target lists/call plans for field personnel, and governance and documentation of territory alignment changes. Responsibilities include effectively working with field medical and commercial teams to support Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), and with home office personnel to provide insights and recommendations on a variety of issues/imperatives impacting field force success.

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Lead the execution of our plans with a very high degree of accuracy including the correct and timely calculation of payouts, effective documentation, and governance of our plan. Develop materials to communicate the designs to our field based teams such as design documents, IC statements, monthly/annual ranking reports, and IC payout estimators
  • Determine territory alignments to assure adequate coverage of key accounts; provide on-going analysis to determine need for additional territories
  • Drive development of sales force targeting and call plan. Collaborate with Commercial Analytics, and Marketing on customer segmentation and Commercial Operations on integrating the call plan into the CRM/SFA systems
  • Manage field roster system to track field personnel updates in order to enable accurate and on-time reporting essential for sales organization effectiveness
  • Partner with Commercial Training to develop and deliver training for current and new field employees on the reporting and analytical tools available

Preferred Experience, Special Skills, Knowledge:
  • 3-5 years pharmaceutical industry experience including 1-2 years Sales Operations experience
  • Builds and models a culture of questioning and constructive challenge to foster openness and candid dialogue
  • Strong time management skills with experience meeting tight timelines with 99.9% accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excel, Access, and other database experience
  • Knowledge of various CRM and call reporting systems not required, but considered a plus
  • <15% travel
