Scott Hull

Consultant, Marcus Evans

Scott Hull draws on over 27 years of professional experience in helping organizations evaluate, re-engineer and implement commercial strategies and analytics.

Prior to joining Marcus Evans, Hull was with Shire, where he managed several large engagements across a variety of commercial areas, including sales forces strategy, design, optimization as well as commercial operations, reporting and marketing analytics.

Prior to Shire, Hull worked at J&J, Eli Lilly, CV Therapeutics, Abbott, Hospira and IMS in progressive roles such as Sales, HR, Management, Analytics, Incentive Compensation and CRM.

Hull holds an MBA from the Cardinal Stritch University, and a BS Degree from University of WI, PMP, Veeva Certified Administrator and is currently completing a master’s in Applied Analytics at Boston University. He is also a member of the PMSA board and Program Committee.

He lives in Wisconsin with his wife, an Internal Medicine Physician. His daughter is a freshman at Purdue University with aspirations of becoming an MD like her mom, and his son is a Junior in High School with aspirations to become an architect as he starts an internship with Kenosha City Engineer’s office.



Arlene Little

PMSA

Arlene Little has 15+ years of leadership experience in managed care, analytics, strategic planning, and operations. Arlene spent 9 years at Genentech and held multiple roles spanning managed care strategy and portfolio marketing, field analytics and effectiveness, and commercial operations. Earlier in her career, Arlene was a Manager in the Reimbursement Practice with Avalere Health, focused on launch strategy, reimbursement strategy, and health policy. She began her career as an Operations Manager with Covance Market Access Services, responsible for patient access services and reimbursement programs across highly diverse therapeutic areas. She earned an MPH from University of Maryland, College Park and her BA, Biology from the University of Virginia. Arlene has served PMSA’s board for three years.



Shunmugam Mohan

Principal Consultant, Bayser

Shunmugam Mohan is a Principal Consultant with Bayser. His expertise has been in developing Portfolio/Data Strategy for Oncology and Rare Disease Markets. He finds passion in looking out for new data sources to effectively answer the business questions and understanding the nuances between & USPs for each of them. Another one of his interests is simulation and he developed an agent-based model that forecasts sales while leveraging group practice dynamics. Shunmugam worked on several territory alignment projects and is always on the lookout for creative displays of multi-dimensional information. His recent contribution has been to build a potential assessment model of hospitals that incorporates geographic dynamics around the hospital. Prior to joining Bayser, Shunmugam worked in immune system modeling where he specialized in 3D texture analysis of multiple imaging modalities during his Masters in Electrical Engineering at the Ohio State University. Laura Shapland

CEO, CareSet Systems

As CEO of CareSet, Laura helps set the company's vision and coordinates the team in executing the go-to-market strategy. Laura previously served as COO at 2nd.MD, where she grew the company from concept to serving Fortune 500 companies. Laura holds a B.A. from Rice University and an MBA with High Honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Outside of the office, she enjoys tennis and tickling her two young daughters until they cry.



Jennifer Soller

Principal, Market Analysis & Strategy, Genentech

Jennifer is a dynamic and creative leader, known for her deep strategic insights and passionate development of people and ideas.

During her 10 years at Genentech, she has held roles of increasing responsibility, helping to shape the organization's appetite for measurement and analytics. She has a breadth of experience across multiple therapeutic areas, supporting Medical and Commercial investment decisions for inline, launching, and pipeline assets. In addition to working on complex, strategic and analytical problems, Jennifer frequently leads internal and external seminars on soft-skills development, including Prioritization, Strategic Thought Partnership, Increasing Impact, and Working Agile.

Prior to Genentech, Jennifer worked at several non-pharma Fortune 500 companies as a quant researcher. She has BAs in Astrophysics and Statistics from UC Berkeley, where she also did graduate work in Operations Research. A long-time resident of San Francisco, Jennifer is an avid kayaker, ukulele player, and adventure traveler.



Jean Patrick Tsang

President, Bayser

Jean-Patrick Tsang is the Founder and President of Bayser, a Chicago-based consulting firm dedicated to sales and marketing for pharmaceutical companies. JP is an expert in data strategy and advanced analytics. JP has published 25+ pieces, given 75+ talks at conferences, and completed 250+ projects. In a previous life, JP deployed Artificial Intelligence to automate the design of payloads for satellites. JP earned a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from Grenoble University, advised 2 PhD students, and earned an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France. He was the recipient of the 2015 PMSA Lifetime Achievement Award.



Yunlong Wang

Associate Director, Advanced Analytics, IQVIA

As a data science researcher, Yunlong has expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, optimization, simulations, and their applications to spatial temporal data analysis, such as longitudinal claim level data, media impression data, social network, and physician-patient networks. In this capacity, he provides methodological and analytical support to help clients solve complex issues in business and health outcomes research. He leads a team of data scientists and software developers to support various customized projects on healthcare commercial effectiveness and real-world insights solutions, as well as to build machine learning pipelines enhancing delivery efficiency.

Prior joining IQVIA, Yunlong was a post-doctoral research fellow in the Digital Technology Center (DTC) at the University of Minnesota. He received his BS degree in electrical engineering from the Xi’an Jiaotong University, and he earned his PhD degree in computer engineering from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He is an active and prolific scholar whose work has been published more than 20 top journal/ conference papers. He is a member of IEEE and he serves as a reviewer for many highly ranked IEEE/ACM conferences and journals.
